The sound of a ball hitting a glove, the scent of hot dog, and the excitement of a great hit are just around the corner! It’s time to get our young athletes ready for the diamond as the Leitchfield Parks and Recreation Spring 2026 baseball and softball seasons approach.
Whether your child is picking up a bat for the first time in T-ball or is a seasoned player looking to dominate the field, there is a place for them in our local leagues.
League Details & Age Groups
We offer programs tailored for various age ranges to ensure everyone has a chance to play and grow:
- Baseball: Open for ages 4–12, which includes T-Ball for our youngest players.
- Softball: Open for ages 8U through 17U.
- Older Players: For those interested in 13–15 year old baseball, registration will open later in May.
How to Register
Getting signed up is simple! You can find registration forms in the following ways:
- Online: Download and print forms directly from the city website.
- In-Person: Pick up a form in the lobby at City Hall (515 South Main St., Leitchfield, KY).
Once completed, you can drop off your forms along with the registration fee at City Hall.
Need Assistance? We believe every child should have the chance to play. Youth Scholarship Forms are available at City Hall for families who may need help with registration fees.
To ensure your athlete is ready for opening day, make sure to submit your registration by Saturday, March 7.
